Awarded to someone outside the RIATA that has dedicated service to the RIATA members and the profession of athletic training.

RIATA Athletic Trainer of the Year

Awarded to an RIATA member who is actively involved in their community/campus, athletic training association and in promotion of the profession.

District 1 Kathleen Laquale Student Scholarship

Awarded to a student who is a current NATA, District 1, RIATA member, has an NPI number and is also enrolled in an accredited athletic training program.

Applicants will need to upload the following documents:

• Cover Letter

• Resume

• Letter from their Program Director or Dean stating their full-time status in the program

• Reference letter from a current RIATA member

• Reference letter of choice (non-RIATA member) letters of recommendation should be based on extent and quality of service provided in the field of athletic training
